Discover the Gulf of Porto from the sea
People ask me every day: which company, which boat?
I think the answer is often another question: what is your priority? Thrills, or comfort? A swim stop out at sea, or on the beach? Price? Or how long it takes?
And since you are staying with us: we get you 10% off with both operators.
Drop by the day before, or call +33 4 95 26 10 37 — and we will tell you whether the sea is good that day.
Everything leaves from the marina in Porto. The choice comes down to two words: small boat or big boat.

The Gulf of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is best discovered by sea. Our partners offer different packages and boat types to explore the treasures of Corsica's west coast.
The complete excursion to see everything! Sail to the Scandola nature reserve, its towering cliffs and sea caves. Discover the isolated village of Girolata, the Calanques de Piana and the majestic Capo Rosso.
The gap between 3 hrs and 4 hrs 30 is not just a matter of speed: the big boats make a 30-minute stop at Girolata, the small ones a 30-minute swimming break.
Explore France's first nature reserve that is both terrestrial and marine. Admire ospreys, groupers and corals. Stopover possible at Girolata, a village accessible only by sea.
This route, without the Calanques, is not always offered by the 12-seater boats: in practice it is a big-boat trip. Check before you set off.
Girolata can also be reached on foot: the postman's trail, from the col de la Croix.
The famous pink granite cliffs seen from the sea. Approach caves sculpted by erosion and admire the striking contrast between the orange-red rock and the crystal-clear turquoise waters.
1 hr 30 whatever the company. To my mind, the small boats are the most fitting on this route.
On foot, the same headland is earned differently: the Capo Rosso hike and its Turghiu tower.
A magical experience! Sail along the coast while the sun bathes the cliffs in orange hues. Romantic atmosphere guaranteed with spectacular colors.
On land, the best spots change with the season: Tête de Chien in July and August, when the sun sets too far north for the mule trail, Capo d'Orto for the golden light, and Porto beach, whose sunset has three seasons.

The time of day matters almost as much as the boat. Here is how I see it.
The morning
My favourite moment, no hesitation. Less heat, brighter colours, and the afternoon left free for the many spots around here — starting with the hikes around here.
My favourite
Early afternoon
The most requested slot. It is the one you take when you only stay one night in Porto: you arrive, drop the bags, and head out to sea.
Early evening
For the sunset, with Corse Émotion in particular.
From the Ficaghjola cove to the fine pebbles of Bussaglia. Each has its own wind, its own ground and its own hour: we will tell you which one suits the day.
Discover
From the shepherds' path to Capo Rosso. Distance, real ascent, condition of the trail — and what we honestly think, including when we advise against it.
Discover
The only escape game in the gulf. The activity that saves a rainy day, a rough sea, or an afternoon at 38 °C.
