Vincent Pagnini Beale

Born in Ota, in 1992. I write the guides on this site, and I built it.

My name is Vincent Pagnini Beale. I grew up in Ota, the village above Porto, and I still live there. I built this site myself — along with Escape Carotte's and Taxi Ouest Corsica's — for that one I am the webmaster, not the driver.

My wife Wednesday and I have run Escape Carotte for several years now: the first escape game in the Gulf of Porto. Hôtel Le Vaïta is the other half of our work.

What I can genuinely tell you

I do not claim to know the whole of Corsica. But within fifty kilometres of Ota, there is little I have not done or watched being done: the trails and their real condition, which beach to choose for the day's wind, the rivers when they run high, the roads that take twice as long as your satnav claims, the restaurants that changed hands last year.

That is where the advice signed with my name on this site comes from. And when I do not know, I say so — you will find several examples in the guides.

Besides that

I like escape games (naturally), new technology, the card game belote, and this region. I volunteer with the Ota-Porto town hall on digital matters. I also share my desk with two cats whose contribution remains to be proven.

Getting in touch

The simplest way is reception: +33 4 95 26 10 37, 7am to 9pm, or hotel.vaita@gmail.com. If your question is about the gulf rather than a room, it is just as welcome.
